Terms & Conditions

Lake Como Sitters is a babysitting agency operated by Natalie Cerri (P.IVA 4210630135), Via Ducale 16, 23827 Lierna (LC), Italy. We connect families visiting or residing on Lake Como with vetted, professional babysitters.

By booking a service through our website or by contacting us directly, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.

Lake Como Sitters provides the following services:

• Daytime babysitting — childcare during daytime hours
• Evening babysitting — childcare during evening hours
• Wedding childcare — coordinated childcare for weddings and events
• Bespoke packages — tailored arrangements on request

All babysitters are personally interviewed and vetted by Lake Como Sitters. However, babysitters are independent contractors and are not employees of Lake Como Sitters.

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit payment as specified in your quote. Until the deposit is received, we cannot guarantee availability.

Once confirmed, you will receive the name, photo and contact details of your assigned babysitter by email.

All prices are provided in the individual quote sent to you before booking. Prices are quoted in Euros (€) and include VAT where applicable.

Our standard payment structure:

• Deposit — required to confirm your booking (amount specified in your quote)
• Balance — due after the service has been completed

Payments are processed securely via Stripe or via bank transfer. Lake Como Sitters does not store your payment card details.

We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is:

• More than 3 days before the service: Full deposit refund
• 3 days before the service: 50% of the deposit refunded
• Less than 72 hours before the service: No refund or partial refund of the deposit, depending on the circumstances
• Same-day cancellation: Full service fee may be charged

In the unlikely event that we must cancel a confirmed booking, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

Lake Como Sitters' responsibilities:

• Connecting families to vetted, professional babysitters
• Helping with communication between families and sitters
• Being available to resolve any issues during a service

The family's responsibilities:

• Providing accurate information about the children (ages, allergies, special needs)
• Ensuring the babysitter has a safe, appropriate environment to work in
• Being reachable by phone during the service
• Paying the balance promptly after the service

Lake Como Sitters acts as an intermediary and cannot be held liable for incidents arising from inaccurate information provided by the family, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

The safety of children in our care is our absolute priority. Please inform us in advance of any:

• Medical conditions or allergies
• Medications that may need to be administered
• Behavioural or special needs requiring particular attention
• Dietary restrictions

Babysitters will provide regular photo updates to parents during the service. In case of any medical emergency, the babysitter will contact emergency services immediately and notify the parents.

By making a booking you consent to us collecting and processing your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your data will be used solely to manage your booking and communicate with you.

We will share your contact details with your babysitter, and their details with you, for the purposes of carrying out the service.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Italian law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lecco, Italy.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The date of the latest revision is shown below. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
